Key information and only the key information
For Labatec Pharma, the clarity of the labels and text, the dose and the concentration of the injectable count are more than a preoccupation with design.
In order to achieve clear packaging and labeling for hospital professionals, Labatec Pharma complies with the joint guidelines and recommendations concerning the labeling of parental preparations developed by The Swiss Association of Public Health Administration, the Hospital Pharmacists Association (GSASA) and the pharmaceutical industry (November 2009).
To guarantee clarity in our packaging, we also take great care to follow the recommendations of the French Agency for the Medical Safety of Health Products’ (ANSM), that aim to harmonize ampoules labeling.
Traceability of injectables
In order to guarantee the traceability of its pharmaceuticals and protect them from drug counterfeiting, Labatec Pharma has put into general use the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), in the form of a DataMatrix electronic product code, for its injectable products.
Color-Coded Labels for High-Risk Medications
To help health-care professionals differentiate high-alert medications from each other, such as those used in anesthesia and intensive care, we apply a specific color-code based on the ISO standard 26825 dated 2009.
Full security packaging for Cytostatics
In the field of cytostatics, we offer full security packaging for our vials ensuring:
- The prevention of leaks and breakages
- The prevention of contamination of surfaces
In order to assure a full security, our Cytostatics are sent in a plastic bag with the mention « Handle with precaution ». Labatec has received an Award from the ESOP (European Society of Oncology Pharmacy) for our innovative contribution to the safe handling of CMR-Substances.
For its packaging and labeling, Labatec Pharma places emphasis on safety first rather than design or product differentiation for marketing purposes.
